He is Back!!

He is finally back!!!! We are so happy that our Lil' Man is home:) Alex had such a great experience serving the wonderful people in Virginia! I want him to take a few minutes and express his feelings of his mission! :

On the assignment that the Lord had called me to the Virginia Richmond Mission, I have been in the lowest lows and on the highest highs. But, never have I felt the Love of God for His children than I have when I was serving them full time in Virginia. I've discovered the majesty of the Son of God through the Book of Mormon and know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God to us and to the ancient inhabitants of the Americas. I've discovered that OBEDIENCE BRINGS BLESSINGS!! Don't ever Justify or risk your moral character and spiritual character for a small mortal finite piece of "entertainment" that will not travel with you to the eternal worlds. I love Jesus Christ. He is our Savior and Redeemer and I know that He was resurrected so that we too shall live. For all those who are not serving a mission, back from a mission, or preparing. READ PREACH MY GOSPEL. Apply its teachings and watch the tree bear fruit. It is the guideline to a blessed life and a great way to learn how to become a better member of the Lord's church. I know this for myself. I love you all. For you are all my brothers and sisters. Thanks for all your prayers on the missionaries behalf!

Well it is official!!! I am gonna have a new SISTA!! Adam proposed to Carli on September 13th 2010! He was so clever and totally surprised her! Her parents were even in on it!! ( that is how we have the great pics seconds after ward!) Carli love ya lots! And I hope you are ready to join our crazy family! :)

Time to Say Good-bye

Man oh man.....where do I begin. 3 years ago, I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I decided to be apart of the vitaminwater sampling team. Let alone did I ever think I would come away with some very best friends!!

These last few years have been a hoot! Sore, tired, dancing wars, hitting birds, road trips, sandbags, tempers, sugarland, grilled peanut butter sandwhiches, quan, freezing toes, Aspen Domination, Greer, MOLE, etc. are just a few discriptive words of the last 3 years with vitaminwater and POWERADE. I feel totally blessed that I was able to learn and grow from this experience. I am thankful for the friends that I have made. I know we will always remain close! I am sad that this has to end, but the next chapter of my crazy life is about to begin! Utah State here I come!.....again!!

A Little bit of Georgia in Salt Lake

So this last week has been so fun!! I had the opportunity to host one of Jake's recent converts to a week of fun in Salt Lake! Her name is Kali Pierce and she is 17! I felt like a big sister all week! I had so much fun with her out here, and I miss her already! I got to show her exactly why Utah "Is the Place." We saw the Draper temple and took a tour of Temple Square. It is crazy how sometimes we take adavantage of the opportunity of seeing our beautiful temples. I learned so much on that tour. It was beautiful! Not only did I show her the wonderful sites, she got to experience Cafe Rio, and frozen yogurt!! MMM!

We also had the opportunity to go to Boise, Idaho to meet up with Jake's family. The Poulson's were so excited to finally meet someone who knows Jake. Conni was a superb hostess!! We never went hungry that's for sure! Kali got to experience first hand, Conni's cookies and cupcakes!! They are to die for! REALLY! We also did a lot of shopping, Kali's first baseball game, story telling, and cooking! Kali brought a little south to the west and made us fried pickles and cabbage burgers! To say the least, I couldn't handle the pickles, but the cabbage burgers rocked!!

This last week was awesome and sooooo what I needed!! Kali girl I love ya!

Morgan Is Here!!!

So Morgan Kate Hammer has finally come!!! I was so excited to meet her! I wouldn't say I am her "God-Mother" because that makes me sound old! So I guess I will have to be known as aunt Lys :) But I would like to clarify, that without me, little miss Morgan would not be here!! Haha I like to make it known that I indeed help with the foundation of the Nick and Jessica Hammer household! I love you Hammers! I know you are truly blessed to have that little one come to your home! Love you!

It's a Girl!

Hahaha no no no!!! Not me!! I am not having a baby, but my bestie Jessica Hammer is having a baby girl! We just recently had a huge baby shower for her this last weekend! She always knows how to throw a party! (Well her mom is the one that throws a mean party!)Jake's mom makes the best sugar cookies that I have ever tasted, and I thought-what a great time to have some people see and taste her amazing cookies! So she shipped a couple dozen to me-Little pink Hammers that said "Baby Hammer" ( so adorable!), little baby rattles, and baby bottles! They were such a hit and gone by the time we left! Way to go Conni!! Thanks for all you do!!

This was so fun! I got to see some friends that I haven't seen in SO long!! All of them looked wonderful!! I have missed my friends and I was so happy to spend some time with them!
